The General Manager Manufacturing reports to the Vice President of Manufacturing and is an integral part of the Manufacturing Leadership team. The incumbent will provide leadership expertise to the York Vehicle Operations Plant which is the largest manufacturing plant of the Company's Motorcycles. The York facility, which covers more than 171 acres, assembles multiple Motorcycle models and performs a variety of Manufacturing operations, including fabrication, welding, polishing and painting.
This key leadership role will oversee, direct and facilitate the planning and execution of the entire York Vehicle operation. It will be responsible for the overall plant performance in accordance with the corporate goals.
:Safety: Leads and Instills a safety:first culture through active, visible leadership throughout the plant.
:Plant Metrics: Define goals and objectives for the site in alignment with manufacturing and company goals. Through common operating system, processes and procedures insures execution of the plant goals in terms of safety, quality, cost, delivery, people and sustainability.
:Plant Leadership: Cultivate a work environment that is conducive to high performance: meeting or exceeding commitments, supporting, coaching and mentoring employees. Drive accountability with the York Vehicle Operations leadership team while serving as a role model for performance management and development of others.
:Continuous Improvement: Leads and support continuous improvement activities throughout the facility. Drive a culture of continuous improvement that reflects process excellence and delivers results.
:Union/Workforce Relationship: Take responsibility for the union relationship and work effectively with the union leadership and union workforce.
:Manufacturing Leadership: As member of the Global Manufacturing leadership team actively participates (or leads) system:wide efforts which will include tactical, mid:term and strategic planning and implementation efforts.
Requires a Bachelors degree, masters degree preferred.

:Must be well versed in project management planning and execution including cultural/ change management aspects of large scale project
:Experience effectively working in a matrix organization with the ability to drive collaboration through an organization.
